December Group Meeting
"World Wide Candle
Lighting Ceremony"
Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 6:30 pm
Thomas Edison Charter Schoo South
1275 W 2350 S, Nibley
Please dress warm.
The actual candle lighting will be held outside.
Held annually on the second
Sunday in December, The Compassionate Friends World Wide Candle
Lighting unites family and friends around the globe as they light
candles for one hour to honor and remember children who have died.
As candles are lit at 7:00 p.m. local time, hundreds of thousands
of persons commemorate children worldwide.
Believed to be the largest
mass candle lighting on the globe, the World Wide Candle Lighting
creates a 24hr wave of light as it moves from time zone to time
zone. Hundreds of formal candle lighting events are held and thousands
of informal candle lightings are conducted in homes as families
and friends gather in quiet remembrance of children who are no
longer with them.
The Worldwide Candle Lighting
gives bereaved families everywhere the opportunity to remember
their child...that their light may always shine!
Please bring a
treat to share with everyone. Also bring a story, poem, scrapbook
page or anything else you would like to share about your baby.
Message from the
Watts Family
Our family looks forward to
the candle lighting each year. It helps us remember our precious
children that have been taken so soon. We love the feeling of
closeness and unity that the candle lighting brings. It has helped
us through times when we have missed them the most.

*Angel
Tree*
The annual Memorial Angel Tree is in the New Women Center's Lobby
on the first floor. There are Angels there to fill out your Baby's
name and hang on the tree. You can even decorate the angel if
you would like. Hanging the angel on the tree is a great way to
keep your baby in your families heart and mind this Holiday Season.
By the end of the Season we will have over 100 Angels remembered
on the tree.
